[edit] Cooking

The needs of a sim in this game are the same as they are in any other game. The sim will live it’s life as it has the hunger, hygiene, bladder, social, energy, and comfort needs. The way you will raise these needs to put your sim in a better mood can be done like it has been done in previous games, taking a sim to the toilet to raise the bladder, having a sim take a shower to raise the hygiene, etc.

One of the big differences this game has to any of the other Sims games is the fact that you can actually prepare food using ingredients from recipes and cook them yourself to eat. When you actually go to cook for your sim you must pay attention to the recipe and what it says to successfully make a good meal. Other times if you were to not follow the recipe close enough then you would cook a bad meal, one that wouldn’t raise your sims hunger much and would just taste bad overall. Most bad meals are made if you tend to burn your food or not cook them long enough.

To actual prepare a recipe you will need to make a note of the ingredients needed and then you may need to go to the Jolly Gourmet store to buy them. Then the recipe will show you the amount of heat you will need to cook the ingredients at, this can be seen from the icon that resembles a flame, even though the flames core is somewhat green. There will also be a number next to this icon to show what exact temperature to cook the ingredients at. The recipe will also show you exactly how long you’ll need to cook the ingredients, this can be seen from the icon that resembles a clock with an arrow as one of the arms. Next to the timer there will be a number to show exactly how long to cook the ingredients at.

Now to actual cooking ingredients you will be brought to a screen where you can see a frying pan in which you put all your ingredients in. First before actually cooking you will need to place the exact ingredients you will be using to follow the specific recipe you chose into the pan.

Next you will use this frying pan to cook the ingredients. To cook them you should leave the frying pan on the oven until it gets to the exact temperature that the ingredients are needed to cook at, such as if it says to cook ingredients at temperature six you would leave the frying pan on the oven until it reach six and then move it so that it doesn’t rise too much that the food would burn but then make sure to not move it too much so that the food is cooked enough without being at a low temperature.

Then while doing this you will need to pay attention to the timer, or the clock, to see the ideal time you must cook the ingredients at. Once the timer hits this time make sure to click the “done” button to finish cooking. Sometimes if you were to cook the ingredients too long or too short your food would burn or be undercooked thus tasting horrible to your sim, so keep a close eye on the timer and the temperature.
